Explanation of Name: This blend is inspired by our Costa Rican coffee tour experiences and the unique but familiar flavors we came across. Did you know that there are more Jamaicans abroad than on the island of Jamaica itself? This blend draws its name from Costa Rica which has a significant Jamaican presence, particularly in the coastal province of Limón, with a large portion living in the Jamaica Town neighborhood in Puerto Limón. This community is largely descended from Afro-Caribbean migrant workers who arrived in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, many from Jamaica, to build the Atlantic Railroad and work for the United Fruit Company.
